EMMITSBURG, MD — The remaining games of this weekend's series at Mount St. Mary's have been canceled due to unplayable field conditions at E.T. Straw Family Stadium. The Jaspers led game two, 2-0, in the bottom of the first inning yesterday before the umpires halted the action due to the rain. The umpires re-evaluated the field today and deemed it unsafe to play on.
Manhattan ends its regular season with an overall record of 20-28 with a 12-15 mark in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play.
The Jaspers await the result of tonight's game between Niagara and Canisius to determine if they will advance to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship starting Wednesday, May 21 at Clover Stadium in Ramapo, New York.
A Niagara loss would clinch the eighth seed for Manhattan while a Niagara win would eliminate the Jaspers from postseason contention.
