EMMITSBURG, MD — Manhattan Baseball was edged 7-6 in 10 innings on Friday by Mount St. Mary's before the second game of the doubleheader was halted due to the weather. The Jaspers and Mountaineers will play two games on Saturday, starting with the paused second game in which the Jaspers hold a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning.
GAME ONE (F/10 MANHATTAN 6 | MOUNT 7)

Manhattan took a 2-0 lead after Andreaus Lewis delivered an RBI single in the first before Aidan Katzman came home on a passed ball in the second inning.

Mount responded with five unanswered which included three RBIs for Alex Mendes and a pair of RBIs for Bryce Rudisill.

Lewis further asserted his authority with a two-run home run in the sixth that cut the Jaspers' deficit to just one.

Then, trailing 6-4 in the ninth, the Jaspers rallied and mustered two runs on a solo home run for Guriyandel Salva and a sacrifice fly for Hunter Sute.

Pinch-hitting in the bottom of the 10th, Logan Yi drove in the game-winning run for Mount on an RBI single.
GAME TWO (Bottom 1st Manhattan 2 | MOUNT 0)

The Jaspers took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first on back-to-back bases-loaded walks issued to Hunter Sute and Andreaus Lewis.

The action was halted in the bottom of the first with runners on second and third and no outs for the Mountaineers.

The Jaspers' playoff chances are still alive entering the final day of the regular season on Saturday. Manhattan will automatically clinch the eighth seed with two wins or with just one win and a Niagara loss.

Salva's home run in the ninth was the first of the freshman's collegiate career.

Lewis' homer was his fourth of the 2025 campaign and his eighth overall in a Manhattan uniform.
