EAST MEADOW, N.Y. — For three days this past weekend, the Manhattan Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving program competed at the ECAC 2024 Winter Championships held at the Nassau County Aquatic Center on Long Island. The women finished the weekend in ninth out of the 10 local schools that competed, while the Men finished in seventh place.
HIGHLIGHTS
- In Friday's preliminaries, Jaila Williamson posted the third-fastest time in the Women's 50-yard Freestyle with a time of 24.20 seconds.
- In Sunday's preliminaries, Elle Feneide registered 10th place in the Women's 100-yard Freestyle with a time of 53.36 seconds.
- Williamson followed up her successful preliminaries by securing seventh place in the finals of the Women's 50-yard Freestyle, giving her the top placement for the Jaspers among all events. Williamson duplicated her time of 24.20 seconds from the preliminary round.
- Williamson continued her solid string of performances with a 13th-place showing in the Women's 100-yard finals.
- Led by Feneide, Williamson, Sophia Leber, and Shayna Millard, the Jaspers rounded out the top 10 in the Women's 200-yard Freestyle with a time of 1:40.51.
- With a time of 55.93 seconds, Joe Brennan placed second in the Men's 100-yard Breaststroke for the Jaspers' best individual finish.
- Brennan was joined by Andre Cartagena, Gavin Harding, and Jonathan Carsen as the Jaspers grabbed eighth place in the 200-yard Medley Relay at 1:34.02.
- Cartagena, Brennan, Harding, and Tristan Ehrhardt posted a ninth-place finish in the Men's 400-yard Medley Relay. Ehrhardt, Harding, Brennan, and Carsen also finished ninth in the Men's 200-yard Freestyle Relay.

The Jaspers will host Iona in a head-to-head meet at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, at the Jeffrey H. Loria Family Aquatic Center at Horace Mann.
