Jaspers Fifth After Day One of Metropolitan Intercollegiate

WEST ORANGE, NJ - Manhattan golf finished in fifth place after the first round of the Metropolitan Intercollegiate tournament. The Jaspers shot a 299 (+19) on the par 70 course.
 
David Mlynek and Colby Norton both finished their first round in the top ten individually. Mlynek ended the day T6 with a 71 (+1), while Norton is currently T8th after posting a 72 (+2).
 
Fairleigh Dickinson's Jaime Julve and Detroit Mercy's Alek Mauro whom both shot 67 (-3) to lead the field after round one. Fairleigh Dickinson holds the team lead, wrapping up Monday with a team score of 279 (-1).
 
The tournament will conclude tomorrow at Montclair Golf Club, where the Jaspers will hope to climb the team and individual leaderboards.
