West Long Branch, NJ - Enrique Martinez (San Salvador, El Salvador / Barton CC) is Manhattan's latest MAAC champion, winning the men's hammer throw at the 2019 Outdoor Championships Saturday at Monmouth. Hitting a distance of 58.62 meters, Martinez surpassed his closest competitor by more than two meters for the gold medal.

- Freshman Nina Bjorkman (Vasteras, Sweden / Widenska Idrottsgymnasium) also medaled for the Jaspers Saturday, bringing home a silver in the women's hammer throw. Bjorkman hit a mark of 52.22 meters, just 0.38 meters behind the top finishes.Â
- Lisa Warfvinge (Varberg, Sweden / Peder Skrivares School) won MAAC bronze in the women's long jump on Saturday, hitting a distance of 5.49 meters. She also finished fifth in the women's 100-meter dash, qualifying for Sunday's event finals.Â
- Niasia Boone (Morrisville, PA / Pennsbury) was the MAAC's top qualifer in both the 100- and 200-meter prelims on Saturday. She came in at 12.47 in the 100, while registering 25.04 in the 200 later in the day. She will join Warfvinge (12.59) in the 100-meter finals on Sunday, while teammate Amahri Boyce (Newark, NJ / North Star Academy) also qualified for the women's 200-meter finals, coming in fifth (12.87).Â
- Senior Jasmine Davis (Ronkonkoma, NY / Hauppauge) placed second in the women's 400-meter race (56.37), qualifying for a spot in tomorrow's finals alongside Chinelo Nnakwe (Central Islip, NY / St. Anthony's), who came in fourth (57.59).
- Will Stallings (Sleepy Hollow, NY / Sleepy Hollow) finished third in the men's 400-meters (48.58)Â and will compete against teammate Kyle Watkins (Coram, NY / Longwood), who finished fifth (48.92)Â to also qualify for the event finals.
- Stallings placed seventh in the men's 200-meters (22.22) to qualify for Saturday's finals, along with Larry McCullum (Piscataway, NJ / Piscataway), who finished eighth in both the 200 (22.40) and 100 (11.09) for a spot in both finals.Â
- Sean Mirando placed seventh in the men's 110-meter hurdles preliminaries (15.49) and will continue his quest for a MAAC Championship on Sunday.Â
- Distance runner Erin Spadacchini (Wilmington, DE / Padua Academy) earned the 10th spot in the women's 1,500-meter finals on Sunday, finishing in the prelims with a time of 4:36.23.
- Chris Woodhouse (Staten Island, NY / Staten Island Tech) placed fourth in the men's pole vault with a height of 4.25 meters.Â
- Senior Amir Khaghani (Bethesda, MD / Walt Whitman) earned a fifth-place spot in the men's 10,000-meters, finishing the race in a time of 31:22.30.
- Nick Matson (Clifton Park, NY / Shenendehowa) also finished fifth in the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase, recording a time of 9:31.81.
