Mujanovic, Ludvigsson Go 1-2 in Hammer Throw in Arizona at First Outdoor Meet for the Jasper Track and Field Team

Mujanovic, Ludvigsson Finish 1-2 in Hammer Throw at West Point Invitational; Both Improve IC4A and NCAA Qualifying Marks

Riverdale, N.Y. ? Manhattan College junior Seid Mujanovic and freshman Karl-Erik Ludvigsson finished 1-2 in the hammer throw Saturday at the West Point Invitational at West Point, N.Y., with Mujanovic setting a new personal record with a toss of 63.62 meters. 

 

With Mujanovic's personal record mark and Ludvigsson's mark of 62.71m, both improved upon their respective IC4A and NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship qualifying marks.  Also in the event, Jasper freshman Vincent Torrisi placed sixth with a mark of 49.45m.

 

In other meet highlights:

 

  • In the women's 400 meter dash, freshman Heidi Palacios placed third in a time of 59.90
  • In the men's 110 meter hurdles, Justin Chiaravelle placed fifth in 15.71
  • In the women's pole vault,  Alexandra MacDougall placed fourth with a 3.05m mark.
  • In the men's pole vault, DeSean HooShing placed sixth with a 3.95m mark. And Chris Schaefer finished seventh with a 3.80m mark.
