LaBanca, Romano Prove Tough at Public Links Championships

Golf Team in Eighth Place After 1st Round of MAAC Championships in Florida

Riverdale, N.Y. (April 25, 2008) ? The Manhattan College golf team, shooting a team score of 330, stands in eighth place after the first round of the 2008 MAAC Men's Golf Championships at the Magnolia Golf Course in Walt Disney World.  Jasper sophomore Nick LaBanca was the low medalist for Manhattan on the day, shooting a 77 over the par 72, 6861 yard Magnolia layout.

 

In addition to LaBanca, other individual scorers for Manhattan were freshman Thomas Romano (78), freshman Matt Baney (85), senior Scott Burton (90) and freshman Louis Perry (92 

 

In the Senior Challenge (non-scorers in the championships), Sean Oroho shot an 83

Chris Vieau an 84 and James Marchewka an 85 for the Jaspers.
